Our impact in 2025

For over 50 years, we have worked alongside people living in poverty, providing them with training, tools and access to finance that unlock opportunity and helps them to make lasting change.

Our work focuses on building lasting, transformative change for people, their families and their communities. As a result, families eat better, children can go to school, and communities work better together. That’s what we think of when it comes to having an impact.

Strengthening communities for the future

We are all facing increasing environmental and economic challenges, but the poorest communities are often hit the hardest. That’s why we focus on helping people to build resilience through training and access to finance, enabling them to grow better, more resilient food, and establish better financial management. These tools help people to take the next steps towards a more secure future.

“Everyone in the village now has access to finance and this has improved our living conditions.” - Bertha, farmer in Malawi (pictured left).

No one should be left behind

We primarily work with underserved groups, including women, young people and people living with a disability. Last year, 75% of our clients were women, who are often excluded from training and access to finance. In 2025, we alsio improved access to finance and inclusion for people living with a disability. In Uganda, we supported 1,844 women living with a disability to open savings accounts, giving them the tools to build stability.

“Through trainings, I discovered self‑confidence and learned that I have value in society.” - Shema, a young farmer living with a disability in Rwanda (pictured right)

One opportunity leads to another

With a single opportunity, we can transform whole families and communities. Through one person receiving a loan, gaining access to savings and benefiting from training, this can open the door to their community to receive the same. Your support goes beyond just one person, it can ripple change through whole families and communities, and break the cycle of poverty for generations to come.

“My dream is to expand my farm, purchase my own land, and raise more livestock—fish, chickens, and pigs—to help alleviate hunger in our community.” - Joshua, refugee, farmer and pastor in Uganda (pictured left).
