Through enterprise, people can earn a living and rise out of poverty. They also create jobs as well as empower other individuals and the communities in which they live. Our enterprise programmes support micro and small business owners largely operating in the informal economy.
For families living in extreme poverty, financial stability remains just out of reach. Without sufficient education, social capital, or geographic proximity, people cannot find jobs in the traditional economy. And without resources or training, entrepreneurs struggle to make their small businesses sustainable and successful. They work tirelessly to secure a reliable income, but their options are remarkably limited.
By providing access to loans, savings and training we are helping entrepreneurs and local small businesses to run sustainable businesses that also go on to create jobs for the wider community.
By 2025 we plan to boost household wealth, improve livelihoods and benefit over 3 million people by supporting 80,000 entrepreneurs to run sustainable business, transforming the lives of 400,000 family members. Will you join us?
